Asiatic vs Calla lilies. Which one should you choose?

Introduction

Whether you are amateur or experienced gardener you probably noticed that landscape (for example

your garden) needs some diversity. To begin with sentence like this, we probably already know the answer for question: which lilies are better. There are no better flowers or plant, everything is about diversification, your space ought include variety of different lily types (if of course you like them).
We will be talking more of another lilies in next posts, but now I am going to describe how to plant some asiatic lilies.

Lily bulbs

There are a number of advantagees and disadventages when we choose bulbs, because every plant which will grow in our garden is strongly connected with it's bulb. So, before we plant out flowers we should first think about size and color we want achieve. There are numerous available colors we can choose from, for example:
-white
-black (very rare)
-yellow (very common)
-purple
While planting lily bulbs need very wet soil conditions, but they will not tolerate too oozy environment. Try to water the soil and wait until ground is a little wet ,before planting the bulbs. Furthermore, PH (which stands for measure of the acidity) of the soil should be between 5.5 and 6.5.
If you care about quantity of your plants you can divide bulbs into smaller pieces - it works and it's very common. But even more popular aproach is propagation after lilium's flowered and this is even better solution, beacause we keep growth power inside the bulb.

Conclusion

In summary, I recommend to do a little research before buying bulbs, because all you get after plant's growing depends on what seeds/bulbs you have bought before planting.
